As the filming location for a big chunk of the greatest TV series of all time, Vancouver has been on my travel wishlist since I was about 13 years old. There was no way I wouldn’t be checking out some iconic filming locations from The X-Files on our recent trip – but where to start? It’s now over 20 years since The X-Files left Vancouver – for the first time, anyway, as the show returned to BC for the two recent “event” series – and, as a busy urban centre, much of Vancouver has moved on. As have many of the fans: think back to what your first websites looked like in the 90s and you can imagine that piecing together a list of potential sights involved several broken links and at least one lot of green text on a black background, Geocities style.
